Mission statement - Heliotropic Technologies started off as a renewable energy systems and energy engineering company ready to meet the demands of today’s dynamic marketplace, created to help the world become a better place by reducing energy consumption and energy’s contribution to human-induced global climate change, while offering rewarding jobs to its employees. Energy independence, demand for low intrinsic energy products, global climate awareness and other green marketing incentives have increased the demand for services and products that Heliotropic Technologies is uniquely positioned to provide.
Recently, we shut down our solar installation division, due to several issues, but primarily related to the loss of a couple of our experienced installers, especially our friend and leadman, Chuck Hagan. Our Energy Engineering Services division remains open and would like to become your energy partner.
Heliotropic Technologies & Michael J. Mayhew, PE have been providing energy engineering services and green energy solutions from midcoast Maine since 1980. Heliotropic Technologies is a full-service, energy service company that specializes in energy engineering, energy program implementation, renewable energy systems, and facility efficiency upgrades. We provided Strategic Energy Planning and energy efficient design services for the state of Maine’s first LEED Certified building, (Brewster Hall, Gov. Baxter School for the Deaf). We have provided energy consulting services to several Maine Counties, the Efficiency Maine Trust, Niagara Mohawk Energy Services, working with NYSERDA, and as a consultant to Maine’s State Energy Program . In 2015, we receive the BHRCC Environmental Leader Award, for developing and implementing a non-wires transmission alternative with Grid Solar and the Efficiency Maine Trust, which saved both the utility ratepayers and local businesses millions of dollars, while improving the environmental footprints of the businesses. We have implemented many commercial and municipal energy efficiency projects, and performed energy assessments for hundreds of commercial facilities. In this dynamic market, we have the tools and expertise to recognize opportunities and solve issues related to facility energy systems
